Tell us how you plan to use the tools to manage your school’s resource use and you will go in to win a $100 Bunnings voucher. To apply, send an email to Sustainable Schools NSW that includes the following information:
• school name
• a brief description of how you will use the tools to manage resource use
• how the tools will be integrated into student learning
• what additional support or resources could Sustainable Schools NSW provide to assist your school to use the tools in 2010.
Eligibility
• The school must be registered on the Sustainable Schools NSW website.
• The school must be located in NSW.
• Department of Education and Training public and high schools, Catholic and independent schools are eligible to apply.
• The school must have a School Environmental Management Plan (SEMP) or equivalent or a commitment to developing a SEMP in 2010.
• Only email submissions will be accepted.
• Entries close 15 December 2009.
Selection criteria
Senior staff from the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water will assess the submissions against the following criteria:
• how the monitoring tools will be used to help your school manage energy, water, waste and purchasing
• the degree of student engagement and involvement.
Other information
• The judges decision is final.
• The voucher is non-transferable.
• The voucher is only to be used to purchase items for the school.
• Sustainable Schools NSW will contact successful applicants on 17 December.
