General school waste – Student investigation

General school waste – Student investigation

Schools can monitor the volume of waste going to landfill in a range of ways. Monitoring the volume and costs of disposal is one method which develops a wider understanding in the school. Experience shows that examining the volume of garbage generated by the school can highlight the amount that can be reduced through recycling or composting programs or by consuming products with different packaging.
